I love taking portraits and one of my services is senior portraits. Sessions are interactive, the subjects tend to be more comfortable, and photographing someone is a great way to get to know them.

Working for the school newspaper, journalism is one of my interests. My school is under a lot of construction and I shot a photo essay to enlighten my peers, teachers and other subscribers of the progress.

I have experimented with different editing styles. This image was shot in Mammoth Lakes, CA and was edited as an HDR (high dynamic range) in which 3 images are captured at different exposures and then merged to reveal all the highlights and shadows.

Journalism has taken me places that I could never dream about. This shot is of an art installment in a freeway underpass in Los Angeles. The movement of the piece was hard to recreate, but I used a time exposure with light trails to convey what the artist had in mind.

Although I prefer portraiture, landscape photography is stimulating and is a great method of documenting my travels. I love traveling abroad because of the invaluable experiences, and this shot from a Chinese desert is an environment that not many people can experience.

The oldest living things on our planet, the Bristlecone Pine Forest in the White Mountains of California is a sight to see.
